These will soon receive cer tificates for having) taken and passed 20 hours of work under Rudolph Carswell, instructor. During the commencement exer cises of the class, Mr. Carswell was presented with a war bond as a token of appreciation and friend ship from the group, with all par ticipating in the purchase. During the informal exercises, J. A. Gwyn, a member of the class, commented upon the pleasant as sociations resulting from the meet ings, and the value and importance of the training received, even under peace-time conditions. A He cannot lawfully operate a vehicle on the highways after that date until a certificate has been issued for that vehicle. It is expected that several of the reserves that have not seen any or. very much action this season will get into the game. Tryon has by no means a weak team, but the locals have several men on the in jured list and Coach Weatherby is expected to give some of his promis ing material for next year a try at carrying the pigskin. The Mountaineers have an open date next week, and according to Coach Weatherby, the Mountain eers Will rest up for the Canton game that comes the following week. There are a number of the local players that are suffering in juries and it is the purpose of the open date to give the injuries a chance to heal.
