Albert Rhodes Home On Furlough Private First Class Albert Rhodes, son of Mrs. Francis Rhodes, of Iron Duff, who is a patient in Moore General Hospital, is spend ing a short time in the county with his family. Pfc. Rhodes returned in August from nineteen months overseas duty in the New Guinea area. He has been in the service since Au gust 7, 1940, having volunteered at Mitchell Field, N. Y. He served with the 8th Pursuit Squadron and after 18 months training in this country was sent overseas. Prior to entering the service Pfc. Rhodes was employed by the Bell Telephone and had worked in New Jersey, New York and Pennsylvania. Ensign Marjorie Plott Visits Family Here Ensign Marjorie Plott, U. S. Navy, who has been visiting her parents, Mr. and Mrs. J. R. Plott during the past week has gone to Newark, N. J., where she will visit her sister, Miss Betty Plott and a group of friends. She will return after her visit in the North to her post in Charleston, S. C. Pvt. James L. Paige Stationed In Texas Private James L. Paige, son of Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence Paige, of route 1, who has been in the army for the past four months, is now Stationed at Camp Barkley, Tex. Pvt. Paige was inducted in the service in June at Fort Jackson. Prior to entering the army he was employed by the Unagusta Manu facturing Company at Hazelwood. Burnett, son of Mr. and Mrs. Harlin Burnett, of Pigeon, was commissioned a second Lieutenant in the U. S. Air Corps on Friday, October 1, at Ellington Field, Tex. Lt. Burnett voluteered in the ser vice in August, 1942 and was in ducted at Camp Croft. From Croft he was sent to Fort Jackson, and then to Atlantic City, where he took his basic training. From there he was sent to Pre-Flight school in San Antonio, Tex., and then to the Jones Field at Bonham, Tex., after which he continued his train ing at Greenville, Tex. He took his advanced work at Ellington Field, from which he was graduat ed. Lt. Burnett is en route to Salt Lake City, where he is being sent for further training. He has two brothers in the ser vice, Sergeant Cecil Burnett, who is serving with the Infantry In Iceland, and Private First Class Burnett, U. S. Marines, who is sta tioned in New Zealand.
