E. Tenney, recreational director has announced. Plans are underway to get the womens teams into action within the next few days. In announcing the schedule, Mr. Tenney also gave ten rules for players as follows: 1. Don't throw the ball before you catch it. 2. You'll never make a .300 hit ter unless you take the bat off your shoulder. 3. Outfielders, who throw the ball back of a runner, lock the barn after the horse is stolen. 4. Keep your heads up and you may not have to hold it down. 5. When you start to slide, slide. He who changes his mind may change a good leg for a broken one. 6. Don't alibi on the bad hop anybody can stop the good ones. 7. Look ahead not backwards. Remember what happened to Lot's wife. 8. Don't throw the ball to the base after the runner is there. A ball in the hand is safer than in the air. 9. Touch all the bases, that's what they are there for. 10. Don't find too many faults with the umpire, You can't ex pect him to be as perfect as you are. He finally ad mitted to Doc Hollister he'd eaten twelve tomatoes in a row just the day before. "Shucks," said Doc. "That's all that's the matter with you. That kind of eating would turn any body red." So now Matt has not only cat out all tomatoes for himself. He's forbidden his family to eat tomatoes. And won't even have them in the house. Says toma toes are anti-social and ought to be prohibited by law. Funny how some neoni. J off to extremes like that TM taice a wnoiesoma thing J overdo it till It rtiom... WAYNESVILLE ART GALLERY To all Old Friends and Patrons we extend a personal invitation to say "HELLO ft I T'S not likely that a shifty, fast-talking gent will ever sidle up to you with such an offer. Bootleggers and Black Markets exist only where there are shortages and a chance to mak big profits by breaking ceiling prices. There are no Black Markets in electricity, nor are there any shortages. And far from pushing against price ceilings, the price of electricity has stayed right down on the floor. In fact, over the last 15 years, the average price to the average family has been cut just about in half. Of course, you probably have more electric appliances and use more electricity today than you did then but youre getting twice as much for your money! Your thanks for such a big bargain belong largely to your friends and neighbors who work with this company. They're doing a better, moK efficient job every year.
