Swift, Jr, Now At Camp Wolters Private William F. Swift, Jr. son of Captain and Mrs. . I- Swift of Waynesville, is now sta tioned at Camp Wolters, Tex. Pvt. Swift volunteered in the service and was inducted at Fort George Meade, Md. From the latter he was sent to his present post for his basic training. At the time he entered the ser vice Pvt. Swift was employed as a machinist at the Newport Nws Shipbuilding and Dry Dock Com pany. He graduated from the Ap prentice school of the plant in 1941 and has been employed there since that date. He is a graduate of the local high school and attended Pres byterian College. His father, Cap tain Swift, is a veteran of World War 1, having served overseas for many months.
