Love Chapter of the Daugh ters of the American Revolution for the year's work of 1944-45 was held on Friday afternoon with Mrs. Hairy Marshall as hostess. Mrs. W. F. Swift, newly elected ngent, presided. Mrs. Evelyn Ahel Osborne was in charge of the program. She read a paper on the findings of the DAR I'eace CommitUe of the Na tional Society. The many problems that will face this nation in work ing out the peace were presented and plans for post war work were also cited. Mrs. Charles E. Quinlan review ed the National' Magazins, giving excerpts from the articles of major interest. Mrs. Swift presented Mrs. S. H Bushnell, retiring regent, with a past regent's pin from the chapter in recognition of the accomplish ments of her term of office. The chapter went on record as sponsoring the movement to em ploy an all-time truant officer for Haywood county. The following chairmen were ap pointed: American Red Cross Com mittee. Mrs. J. R. Boyd, Jr.; Ellis Island, Mrs. W. L. Hardin; Girl Homemakers, Mrs. W. A. Hyatt; Good Citizen Pilgrimage, Mrs. T. Lenoir Gwyn. Mrs. James Y. Killian, chairman of the program distributed the yearbooks for the coming year and also announced the year's study. Mrs. S. 11. Iiushnell was elected as the delegate from the Chapter to the district meeting to be held in llcndersonville at the Skyland Hotel on September 2.
