(One Day Nearer Victory) THURSDAY, SEPTEMBER i Page 4 THIS WAYNES VILLE MOUNTAINEER Last Rites Held For Mrs.A.Yarborough Tuesday Afternoon Funeral services were conducted at 3 o'clock Tuesday afternoon at the Antioch Baptist Church in Iron Duff Township for Mrs. Rebecca Adeline Yarborough, 89, who died at the home of her son, James Yarborough, at Lake Junaluska at 4:45 Sunday morning. Rev. Miles McLean, pastor of Long's Chapel Methodist Church, Lake Junaluska, and Rev. Benfield, of Canton, officiated. Burial was in the church cemetery. Pallbearers were: Grady, Alvin, Bob and Marvin Yarborough, Manse Cagle and James Leather wood. Surviving are one son; one sis ter, Mrs. Amelia White of Lake Junaluska, and one brother, Thomas Yarborough, of Jonathan Creek; 12 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren, and two great great grandchildren. Four grandsons are members of the armed forces. Garrett Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements. Lions Club Changes Hour Of Meeting In Winter Schedule The Lions Club have changed the hour of their meeting from 7:30 to 7:00 o'clock and the new sched ule will continue through the win ter months, it was announced yes terday. The group are asked to meet at Mrs. Norris' at their regular week ly meeting at 7:00 o'clock and from there will go to the Armory where they will take part in a recreational program. Donald Dunham In Command Of A Liberty Ship The following story of Lt. Don ald Dunham, Jr., son of Donald Dunham ,owner and operator of the Dunham House here, will be of interest to friends locally.
