Walker son of Mr. and Mrs. Nathan Walk er, of Clyde, has arrived for a few days leave with his parents, after returning to me slates from a six months tour of duty in the Atlantic-European war theatre. He enlisted in the USNH as a valunteer in May, 1944, at New port Npws, Va., where he was em ployed by the Newport News Ship building and Dry Dock Company. He took his plebe training at the Merchant Marine Academy at King's Point, Look Island, and from there was sent to sea. Upon completion of his leave at home. he will report hack to the Academy where he will he given advanced training.
