The Army re ported yesterday it was revising its point system to speed up dis charges and would reduce its strength from 8,000.(100 to 2, 5(H), -000 men by next July 1. War department officials, testify ing before the House military com mittee, nevertheless supported President Truman's proposal to keep on dialling men for military service. They made no specific mention, however, of the Chief Executive's suggestion that only men 18 to 25 years old be dialled, for terms limited to two years.
