Robinson, Seaman first class, son of Sgt. and Mrs. Rat cliff Robinson, of Canton, has re cently been discharged from the Navy after serving for the past three years. He expects to resume his work with the American Enka Corporation, where he was em ployed prior to his enlistment. He is entitled to wear the Amer ican, European, Asiatic and Pacific Theater ribbons, having served in these areas of operations during his 33 months of sea duty; three battle stars and a citation for meri torious duty during the invasion of Sicily. His father, a veteran of the First World War has also re cently returned from overseas serv ice and is awaiting his discharge. Pvt. Luther Gaddis Honorably Discharged Private Luther Gaddis, son of Mr. and Mrs. W. M. Gaddis, of Waynesville, who served five years in the regular army, entering the service in 1940 has been honorably discharged from the separation center at Fort Bragg. Pvt. Gaddis was inducted at Fort Bragg and from there sent to Fort Benning. Ga.. where he was sta tioned until he was sent overseas where he was attached to the Sec ond Armored Division ("Hell on Wheels"). He served in Africa, Eng land. France, and Sicily. He is entitled to wear the Euro pean Theater ribbon, the Pre-Pearl Harbor ribbon. Good Conduct medal, three battle stars, and one Bronze star. At the time he entered the serv ice he was employed by J. G. Abe Jordan Here For 45-Day Furlough Private Abe Jordan, of the Al len's Creek section, who served for six months in the European Theater has j-rrived for a 45-days furlough here before reporting to Camp Shelbyville, Miss., for his next assignment. Pvt. Jordan entered the service in March, 1944. and was inducted at Fort Bragg and from there sent to Camp Hood, and Camp Swift, Texas, before he was sent to the European Theater. He served in France, Belgium and Germany, and was attached to the 106th Division of the Third army. He is entitled to wear the European Theater ribbon, the In fantryman's combat badge, two bat He stars, and Good Conduct medal.
