The writings of Llod C. Doug
las are known wherever books are
sold and read. His masterpiece
"THE ROBE" is known the world
over; known and loved. So are his
others, such as "THE MAGNIFI
CENT OBSESSION," "GREEN
LIGHTS," "WHITE BANNERS"
and many others. But it is of one
of his lesser known books that we
want to bring to your attention
today. "FORGIVE US OUR TRES
PASSES" is as wonderful a lesson
in words that the reader will ever
be fortunate enough to find. There
is something about this book that
carries its message so deep in the
reader's consciousness thai its ef
fect lasts long after the book is
closed and put back on the shelf.
It will be taken down again and
again to be re-read; you can de
pend upon that.
Wore you one of the fortunates
who saw the movie "Our Vines
Have Tender Grapes'".' If you
were, you'll probably never forget
the artistry of those two children
who took co-leading parts. I'ic
tures from the movie enhances the
value of the book "OUR VINES
HAVE TENDER GRAPES," writ
ten by George Victor Martin and
you'll find there is not a lagging
moment from front page to last.
