Anne Jo Stanley Funeral services were held on Friday at the home of the parents, Mr. and Mrs. Carl Stanley for their infant daughter, Anne Jo Stanley, who died at 5 a. m. Thursdav, the 11th. Rev. Maggie Caldwell, offici ated Burial was in the Turpin Chapel cemetery on the Dell-wood road. Surviving are the parents. Garrett Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements. Mrs. Ed Fuller Funeral services were conducted Sunday afternoon, October 7, at the Beaverdam Methodist church for Mrs. Kd Fuller, 27, the former Miss Novella Johnson, of Canton, who died in a hospital at Oak Ridge, Tenn.. on the Friday before. Rev Wayne Smith and the Rev. Howard Hall officiated. Burial was in the church cemetery. In addition to her husband she is survived by a daughter, Judith' Anne; a son, Larry, all of Oak Ridge: her parents, Mr. and Mrs. VV. A. Johnson, of Canton; four sisters. Mrs. Jessie Stevenson, Mrs. Clark Shelton. and Miss Dorothy Johnson, all of Canton, and Mrs. Cecil Hightower of Cleveland, Ohio, and a brother, Earl Johnson, of Canton. The Wells Funetral Home of Canton, was in charge of the arrangements. James R. Silver Funeral services were conducted on Saturday afternoon at 2:00 o'clock at the Crabtree Baptist church for James R. Silver, 76, re tired Haywood eounty farmer, who died at hisr home in the Crabtree section following a long illness. Rev. R. A. Kelly ofliciated. Burial was in the church cemetery. Active pallbearers were: Monroe Silver, Fred, Wiley, Buford and Monroe Noland and Sam Queen. Surviving are his widow, Mrs Melle - Noland Silver; two daugh ters, Mrs. Pat Howell, Candler and Mrs. Roy Rogers, of Canton; one son, James D. Silver; of Canton, one sister, Mrs. Tom Willis, of Georgia, three half-brothers, three half-sisters and seven grandchil dren. Wells : Funeral 'Home was in charge of the arrangements. Mr Guy's' death occurred from heart attack suffered while he was en route from his home to Ashe ville on Thursday morning around 7:30 o'clock. Rev. W. H. Pless and the Hev. Lucius Rogers officiated and "burial was in the Locust Field cemetery in Canton. Surviving are three sons, Ira Lee Guy, of Canton, Elbert Guy, U. S Marines, and Wiltord Guy. of the 9th Air Force overseas; one daugh ter, Mrs. Maggie Mozeleweski, of Canton, one brother, Melvin Guy of Oklahoma; two sisters, Mrs Maggie Wright of Candler and Mrs Hester Taylor, Greer, S. C. Wells Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements. Rev. Thomas Erwin officiated Bur ial was in Ihe church cemetery. The body was removed from the Wells Funeral Home in Canton, in charge of arrangements to the home olher son, Ora Shipman, on Pigeon road near Canton, Satur day afternoon where it remained until time for the funeral Mon day. Besides her husband. Mrs. Mease is survived by four sons, Vanis Shipman, Army, now overseas, Pfc. Arthur Shipman, of U. S. Army, now on furlough at home in coun ty, and Vincent and Ora Shipmss, of Canton; four sisters. Mrs. May Roberts, of Nebo. McDowell coun ty. Mrs. Tiny Trull, of Canton, and Mrs. Dorothy Pressley and Mrs. Bertha Pressley. both of Asheville; three brothers. Walter Pressley, of Buncombe county. George Press ley, of Greer.
