and Mrs. William Hiram Palmer
of Wa. nes ille. K.K.I). No. 1. who
observed their Colden wedding an
niversary on Sunday, October 28.
The bride of fifty years ago who
is 73, was before her marriage the
daughter of the late Joseph and
Josephine Noland, of Panther
Creek. Mr Palmer, 76. is the son
of the late Lafayette and Nancy
Jane Palmer.
The dinner was attended hv the
members of the immediate family
and in the afternoon a number of
friends and relatives called.
The couple received a large num
ber of gifts and felicitations from
relatives and friends here and out

The regular monthly sub-district
meeting of the Methodist Youth
Fellowship will be held Monday,
November 5, at 7:30 p. m . at
Bethel Methodist church.
The Bethel Methodist Youth Fel
lowship will be in charge of the
worship service of the evening.

for the sub-district will present

evening will be stunts given by
each fellowship present.

Friends, patrons and children of
the Bethel school were entertained
Friday night in the gymnasium ,

crowds ever assembled at a school

Prizes were awarded for the
most original costume - both in
adult and children's contests.

ed to the enjoyment of others not
in costume.

the gymnasium- Bingo, cake-walks,

Miss Kamona Hucknw received
the most votes and was named

the largest number of voles in the
Junior Popularity Contest, and lit
tle Jerry Dean Clark was chosen
the "Bethel Baby."
From the contests, games, ami
food sales, a total of $375.84 was
realized. The proceeds will be
used in meeting expenditures of
