Ga., have announced the marriage of their daughter, Mrs. Mozelle Damour, to James Robert Thomas, Jr., which took place in Monticello, Ga.. on Wed nesday, October 17th. Only close friends and members of the family were present for the ceremony. The bride is the eldest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. White and was graduated from the Monticello high school, of Monticello, ua ana attended Wesleyan College, in Macon, after which she was grad uated from the Macon School of Nursing. The bridegroom is the son ot Mrs. James R. Thomas, of Waynes- ville and the late Mr. Thomas. He was educated in the local high school and Western Carolina Teachers College. For the past several years he was connected with the Southern Mapping and Engineering Company, of Greens boro, during which time he spent several months in South America and on the Pacific coast. Colvin Brown has re turned from Chapel HUI where she attended the graduation exercises, which was the last war time grad uation held under the accelerated program between the Navy and the University. A large number of parents were present for the grant ing of commissions and awarding of degrees to the graduates. Vice Admiral David Worth Bagley, USN, made the principal address. Gov ernor Cherry also had part on the program. Miss Ruby Frances Brown re ceived the Bachelor of Arts degree from the College of Arts and Science. She majored in govern ment and public relation?; and minored in journalism. She did not return with her mother but will arrive this week from Greensboro, where she stopped off for a visit with friends. Miss Brown plans to spend sometime here with her par ents.
