Side Tie Bus-ffs Much Cheaper i Opening Sale Monday, Dec. 3rd Our Houses Open For Deliveries Grade Price Indicated Same As Last Season WITH A FEW ADDITIONS THIS AD APPEARED FOR A PREVIOUS SEASON, IiUT THE FACTS BEING PERTINENT, WE ARE REPRINTING IT. SHORT CUTS It is doubtful if there arc SHORT CUTS to any of the things that matter. Nor is there, in the long run, any gain by being in a RUSH. There are SHORT CUTS to money, but none to the knowledge of ,10V"drr There are SHORT CUTS to the possession of a library, but none to KNOW LhlH.lv You can hurry to put your crop on the warehouse floor and let it drift in grade from exposure. You cannot hurry its sale like going to mill, you have to take your turn. You can take a SHORT CUT and "pin hook" but that seldom pays. There are many things about business that cannot be hurried. Reputation is one. Like the coral roof, it is the result of innumerable small additions throughout the years. It is created by thousands of honorable transactions, every day, week and month. Reputation depends upon the character of a business, and character is a thing that cannot hurried Fidelity is the companion of character, and character in a man is the product of hidden thoughts which prompt acts of justice, consideration, fair play. A business is the same, and we hold that more than FORTY YEARS experience in GRADE CLAS SIFICATION and unstinted efforts in behalf of the tobacco grower s a record of which to be proud. (Prices being stabilized, growers, can with no fear of a loss, market their crops at their convenience. Knowing, with the present set-up the only protection to be had is m classification , and tha later a sale can be made at a house, the management of which is experienced in Grade Classification, no grower should fail to embrace that protection.) Since the handling facilities the first few weeks of sales will be congested, daily sale hours will be limited, which will likely cause the sale season to extend through February or longer. In order that the dispatch of each round of sales of our THREE HOUSES may exceed a million or more pounds, as an incentive for patrons to have their grades average 200 pounds or more, we will, as heretofore, award the following PREMIUMS: TwoFor Grade B1F (Tan Color Leaf) of 200 Pounds or More $2.50 Two For Grade B1R (Red Color Leaf) of 200 Pounds or More $2.50 Two For Grade C1L (Straw Color Cutters) of 200 Pounds or More $2.50 Two For Grade C1F (Tan Color Cutters) of 200 Pounds or More $2.50 Two-For Grade X1L (Straw Color Lugs) of 200 Pounds or More $2.50 Two For Grade XI F (Tan Color Lurs) of 200 Pounds or More $2.50 Two Premiums of $5.00 fon the Baskets Bringing the Largest Sum of Dollars Sinee each Grade price is the same, premiums wi 11 be awarded to baskets of heavier weight.
