I couldn't see how n crust that had been bated could be kept from burning when a filling was put in and the whole thing baked again. Possibly some of you new cooks will have the same feeling, so in the two pie recipes I'm giving you today, go boldly ahead .and you will come out all right Putting the unbaked crust into a ery hot oven for 10 mins or so and then lower ing the heat when you are baking a custaid mix pie, used to do the trick, but th baking of the crust first is beite.. Today's Menu Pork Chops Apple Sauce Boil-d Rico Cabbhgt and Onion Salad Pumpkin or jquash or Sweet Potato Pie Coffee Cabbage and Onion Salad Shred the cabbage and cut the onions into very thin rings. F.) about 80 mins., or until filling sets. Sweet Potatc Pie j 1 c. boiled, riced sweet potatoes 2 milk hi c. sugar Hip sweet Vt tsp. ginger V tsp. salt ' 2 eggs I 2 tbsp. butter i Pastry potatoes, milk, sugar, ginger and jail in a double boiler.
