Plott Observes Her 91st Birthday Mrs. Martha Moody Plott, widow of Robert H. Plott. native of the Jonathan Creek section of the county, was ninety-one years old on Friday, the 15th. On Sunday following, members of her family observed the anniversary with a bullet dinner at the home on the Soeo Gap Road. .Mrs. Plott is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J. L. Moody, granddaugh ter of Mr. and Mrs. Reuben Moody and great great granddaughter of Capt. John Henry of Revolutionary fame. Her family have long taken an active part in the affairs of Haywood county. Plott anil Mr. and Mrs. Roland Osborne. Deputy Collector To Assist In Filing Taxes Fred I. Walston, deputy collector of the North Carolina Department of Revenue, will be in Haywood county during the next three weeks to aid citizens in filing their state income tax returns, according to an announcement by Laurie Mc- Eachern, director of the state field forces. The schedule for this area in cludes the following dates: Clyde, on February 28 and March 1. Canton, on March 4, 5, 6, 7, and 8th. Waynesville at the courthouse on March 9, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15. Prevost returned Friday from a four-day bird hunt near tnester, S. C. Mrs. Robert L. Sloan, of Nash ville, Tenn., arrived on Tuesday.
