Frady Own Other Business An announcement is brinft made today of th" dual opening on Fri ilav of Cahe's Shell Service Station, and the 5-Point Garage and Fix-It 1 1 1 1 . hoth housed in the modern new building on highway 19 and 13 in Hazel wood near BiadliVs Suuer Market. J. Fi. Cabe is owner and man ager of the service station, which has just been completed and equip ped with the latest in service sta tion fixtures and equipment. Two grease racks, one an open pit and j the other a hydraulic lift, are served with air pressure grease puns operating from a central sta tion. An inside wash rack is also a part of the modern station, which will feature complete service. Mr. Cabe is a native of Hayes ville, and before entering service was at Fontaua. He received his army discharge in January after serving almost three years in serv ice, much of the time overseas. The 5-Points Garage and Fix-It Shop is owned jointly by Hardy Cable and E. Frady. Mr. Cable is ow ner of the building which houses both businesses. The garage will do general me chanical work, as well as repair work on anything mechanical. Four experienced mechanics are em ployed by the firm. A specialty with the Fix-It Shop is repairing and grinding lawn mowers. A spe cial machine is used In the work, and a full line of parts for all makes are carried. Mr. Frady came here last September and opened his shop, and Mr. Cable is from Swain county. Aulo Industry Fete To Use Atomic Force DETROIT Plans for the smash ing of an atom to signalize the opening of the Golden Jubilee of the auto industry were disclosed here. George Romney, president of the Automobile Manufacturers Associa tion, said a cyclotron at the Uni versity of Michigan will be used in the demonstration, with the atom to be smashed to provide power to unveil a mammoth wheel erect ed in downtown Detroit as a sym bol of the industry's .r0 years of progress. Mr. Romney explained that the atomic power used will be only sufficient to close the gap in a telegrapher's key. It will he re lajed from Ann Arbor to down town Detroit where the unveiling ceremonies will be held May 31. Norfolk Only So-So To 'Publicity' Miss RICHMOND, Va.
