Davey, of Fletcher, formerly of Haywood county, was discharged this week from the army at Fort Bragg. He was attached to the 1629th Engi neers and served in the Pacific theater. He was a student at Berea Col lege and wihle waiting to be called to service was employed for a brief period at the North Carolina Ship yards in Wilmington. He is entitled to wear the Asiatic-Pacific theater ribbon, with one battle star, the Philippine Lib eration medal also with one bat tle star, the Victory medal, Ameri can theater, and the Good Conduct medal.
