Leather- Miss Sara Queen 3ride-Elect Given Shower Friday Miss Sara Glee Queen, bride elect, whose marriage to Clifford Ernest Brown, Jr., will be solem nized in the early summer, was honored with an apron shower by the faculty and lunchroom person nel of the Clyde school on Friday I evening. The affair was held in the school lunch room which was arranged in the May Day motif. The gifts were placed on the ends of the streamers of a minia ture May Pole which centered the table. May baskets of spring flow ers were used extensively about the room. As the bride-elect opened the gifts the aprons were niodled by Mrs. R. C. Cannon, Mrs. Learn Jarrett and Mrs. Helen Medford. Latta Clement Of Asheville To Address Club Latta Clement, of Asheville, member of the Men's Garden Club of Asheville, and well known au thority on gardening in this sec tion of the state, will be the guest speaker at the May meeting of the Woman's Club. The meeting is scheduled to take place at Oak Park on Thursday evening at 8:00 o'clock instead of the usual afternoon session. Mr. Clement will give an illus trated lecture on gardening which should prove of benefit to all those interested in this phase of work. Mrs. James W. Killian, president, will preside.
