Baker, Charles Wilson, H. G. Trotter, Evans Bostick, all of Char lotte, and George Munn, of At lanta. Mrs. Munn, the mother of Mrs. James C. Moore, of Waynesville, was a native of Marion, S. C. Jenkins, 74, of High Point, former ly of Waynesville, were held on Friday afternoon at the Koonce Funeral Home, High Point. Mr. Jenkins died on Wednesday, May 1, at the Burruss Memorial Hospital at High Point from injuries re ceived when he was struck by an automobile on April 20. Rev. Willie Hutchins, assisted by Rev. Williams and Rev. Epperson officiated. Burial was in the Floral Garden cemetery of High Point. Mr. Jenkins was a member of the Farris Andrews class of the First Baptist church of High Point. Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Grace Wells Jenkins; three daugh ters, Mrs. Lucy Robinson, of High i Point, Mrs. C. T. Meyerhaeffer, of j High Point, and Mrs. Joe Oliver, of Greensboro; two sons, C. M. Jen- guson, daughter of Sam Ferguson, Fines Creek: Ben Pitts, son of W. n. Pitts, Bethel, and Betty Jo Gor rell, daughter of C. R. Gorrell, Cruso. Howard Pless, of the Bethel club, was the county winner, and was therefore the winner of the regis tered Guernsey calf which was do nated by Sears Roebuck Company. The other contestants each won 100 baby chicks. All 4-H club boys and girls in the county owning Sears Roebuck Company pigs who participated in the county contest won 50 pure bred baby chicks. They were: John Doe Wilson, Waynesville, Route 2; Phyllis Bradshaw, Clyde, Route 1; Joyce Lane Bramlett, Cove Creek, and Arthur Moon, Canton, Route 1. In the Western District contest Howard Pless won fifth place of all 4-11 club pig contestants.
