There is a Can Ion learn, liidgeway, lhal as of last week had pia.cd II games, los ing 11 games. Now if the Youth Club and liidgeway could get to gether one of them would have lo win. The Youlh Club tries hard, witness their valiant elforls against the Boosters last week, and if they could cross their first hurdle pos sibly the next wouldn't seem as higb . WHILE down in Clyde Ihe other afternoon we found out some facts about the Croqui t situation. Clyde and Canton have been playing some hot tournaments, having engaged a leaui from the North Main Newlound Street area several limes, with the Cantonites un able lo get more than a tie off the Clyde mullet-handlers. They were to play Sunday, but we haven't got I lie latest results. "Babe" Shook, Jtiual Noland, Eel Brooks and Levi Morgan make up the team, three of tbeni entering the match game. We wouldn't advise anyone to take on the Clyde out til unless tluy were in top foi in. for those men are kxperls and can curve a ball into position without using llieir feel. Another bit of in liiroiatioii was about a fishing tup last week by those two veteran fly-casters, llasciie Hay lies and Claud Jones They went up to the forks of the French Broad and had little trouble in pulling ill their limit 12 nice trout each. The only thing we regrel is that it wasn't opened earlier, for the July sun sure makes cool water look good.
