Arrangements have already been completed with the local high school, reports Mr. Willaims, for veterans to receive all pre-college schooling they need. This training will not nec( ssarily be based on their school records, he adds, but they will be given tests and be placed in the highest grade for which they qualify. This "refresh er" course will be given under Western Carolina Teachers College. The courses, college and pro college, will begin at 3 p. 111., thus allowing a student to continue working while attending school. Several thousand Tar Heel vet erans, as well as many non-veterans, have been unable to enter an acceptable college because of the large numbers who registered and inadequate housing for them all. This new plan has been des igned by a steering committee at Chapel Hill under the sponsorship of the state department of public institutions, with the cooperation of the Veterans Administration, to Little Miss Flora is coming to you each Tuesday and Friday, to tell the story of the happiness flowers can bring.
