The Haywood county home dem onstration meetings for the last two weeks in September have been an nounced ao follows by the home agents, Miss Mary Margaret Smith and Miss Helen Smith: The Ratclifl Cove club will meet on Monday, Sept. 16, with Mrs. R. C. Francis, at 2:00 o'clock; Bethel club will meet on Wednesday, the 18th, at 2:00 o'clock with the hos tess and place to be announced later. The Maggie club with Mrs. Jack Campbell on Thursday, the 19th. at 2:00 o'clock; Crabtree club with Mrs. S. L. Smart on Friday after noon, the 20th, at 2:00 o'clock; Hyder Mountain club with Mrs. Ida Dotson on Friday afternoon, the 20th, at 2:00 o'clock. Clyde club with Mrs. W. P. Snyd er on Tuesday morning at 10:30 o'clock on the 24lh; Jones Neigh borhood club on the afternoon of the 24th at 2:00 o'clock, with place and hostess to be announced later. Cecil club will meet at 2:00 o'clock on Wednesday afternoon, the 25th, with place and hostess to be announced later; West Canton club with Mrs. Theodore Clark on Thursday afternoon, the 2(ith, at 2:00 o'clock; Juualuska club with Mrs. Albert J. MeCracken at 2:00 o'clock on Friday, the 27th. The Haywood county council meeting will be held at 2:00 o'clock in the home agents office in the court house on Tuesday, the 17th. R. E. Coldren of Oberlin, Kansas, is visiting Mr. and Mrs. Tom Kirk patrick. Mr. Coldren is postmaster of Oberlin. At the time he entered the service he was a student at North Carolina State college, where he was major ing in mechanical engineering. Mr. Whitfield has resumed his work at State' College and is a member of the senior class. The couple will make their home in Chapel Hill, and Mr. Whitfield will go to his classes in Raleigh from there and Mrs. Whitfield will continue in her position in Durham, Prior to their marriage on Sat urday the couple were entertained by various friends and relatives in Chapel Hill and llillsboro. Arthur Jones, of Daytona Reach, spent the week-end in town with his mother. Mrs. Chauncey Junes, at her summer home here. Mr. Jones was en route to Chapel Hill, where lie will be a student at the University of North Carolina. He is a discharged veteran, having served in the U. S. Navy. Mr. and Mrs. T. L.
