And Plan Banquet
Officers were elected and plans
laid for a banquet preceding the
annual Guernsey sale at a meeting
Tuesday evening of the Haywood
County Grade A Milk Producers,
in the eourthouse.
James Kirkpatriik was named
president; Taylor Ferguson, vice
president, and Mrs. V. F. Swift,
secretary -treasurer of the group,
all being re-elected for another
year.
The banquet will be held the eve
ning before July lti, t lie date set
for the district sale sponsored by
the State Guernsey CalUe Associa
tion, to be held at the State Test
Farm. On the banquet prepara

Grandma" Presnol, 95 years of
age, of Max Patch, was the house
guest during the week of Mr. and
Mrs. Albert Messer.
Mrs. Charlie Messer and young
daughter, of Dillsboro, arrived at
the home of her parents, Mr. and
Mrs. Coiiey M. Chambers on Sat
urday evening, returning home on
Wednesday.
Mrs. Theodore Long has been ill
for the past several weeks and is
now recuperating at her home. On
Sunday she had as her guests, Mr.
and Mrs. J. E. Burnette and fam
ily, Mr. and Mrs. Anderson Huskey
and family, Mrs. Ed Murray, Rev.
and Mrs. Gay Chambers and Mr.
and Mrs. Marvin Long and family.

Jethro Reece, son of Mr. and
Mrs. Jim Reece underwent an ap
pendectomy on Monday at the Hay
wood County hospital.
