The member discussed plans for I i meeting in April when an interior lecorator from New York will give ! i demonstration for the general .uiblic under the sponsorship of the Council Ticket to this demon stration will he on sale at a later date Girl Scout Council Meets Wednesday The Hazelwood-Waynesville Girl j Scout Council held a Business meeting Wednesday afternoon at the home of Mrs. W. K. Chapman. The afternoon was devoted to a discussion of Girl Scout Work in the community and ways of pro viding more leadership. It was again pointed out that many girl in the area who would like to be come Scouts, have not been able to do so because of lack of leadership, and council members were asked lo seek volunteers for this work. Mrs. Chapman, president of the council, presided Mrs. Roy Parkman presented two new leaders. Mrs. Bert Williams and Mrs. John Bomare. Mrs. Carl Ratcliffe, troop chairman, was in structed to contact churches or other groups in securing sponsors for the troops. Mrs. Joe Howell reported on the needs of her Intermedaite troop and also called attention to the lack of equipment in the Girl Scout Hut. Mrs. Chapman appointed a com mitted composed of Mrs. Parkman, Mrs. Bill Prevost, Mrs. Joe How ell, and Mrs. J. C. Patrick, to visit the Hut and report to the Coun cil The group voted to take advant age of the facilities offered by St. John's School to help the Scouts in securing badges. Carl Hill, formerly of Canton, left Tuesday for Lowland, Tenn., to assume his new position as plant engineer of the recently com pleted Enka Corporation there. Mr. Hill, who is a graduate of the engineering school of (Jebrgia Tech, has been employed at Enka for a number of years.
