Men Will Wear More Town Wear Dress-Up Look Is Now Called For More Often Men will find that clothes de signed especially fur town wear have a mure dresstd-up look than for some time. Coats, suits and accessories are all ,styled with a marked formal note and are detail ed with artfully subtle fabric pat terns and tailoring construction. Guard model coats. Chesterfields and Iiomburg hats, worn with very conservative shirts, will be high fashion notes for urbanites. In suits there is a tendency to wards modified square shoulders and a straight-hanging back. The extra-full drape is gone. Uotlble breasted jackets continue to stress a lo w-waist ed look. 3-button styles expected to show a great gain in favor among single-breasted suits. Jacket sleeves are more notice ably tapered. New topcoat styles stress lower button placement, roomier cut and the revival of patterned fabrics. One new model is a roomy rag lari with a very full skirt and mili tary collar. These features give the coat truly casual and sporty air and make it highly desirable for comfort in traveling as well as for general use. Topcoats meant for tgwn and dress-up wear are slightly fitted, come in single and double-breasted models, and Will be available in wider color ranges of fine coverts and tweeds. 1948 sports jackets are featuring single-breasted designs with three buttons and three patch pockets. Most of these are very light in weight and some- are longer than before, with two rear vents and slanted pockets. Fancy backs with shirring and half-belts have been revived somewhat in the newest models. Many new colors have been aded in this field, since men will accept new color ideas most readily in their leisure clothes. Slacks to wear with these also come in a greater color variety. These bring new interest with add ed colors in flannels and feather weight worsted gabardines. Color offerings in all sportswear include bright shades of rust, blue, green and yellow. Gabardine emerged in the cur rent Men's Fashion Guild of New York offerings as the most import ant men's fabric of the year. Prom inently featured in almost every item of a man's wardrobe, sleek gabardine has been tailored into handsome topcoats, suits, leisure jackets, and slack ensembles, sport shirts, and swim trunks SHOE DIAMOND-STUDDED LEBANON, Pa. (UP) Mrs. Harry Artz reflected on her hus band's well-polished shops. "Thou actually gleam, Hal. especially that left one." Gleam is right. Lodged in the sole seam was a diamond, one that had been lost from an en gagement ring at a party the couple attended. Want Ads FOR SALE '36 Chevrolet pick-up truck. A pioneer in this trend is the noted sports apparel houe of Berkray, now Introducing a poplin casual jacket in pastel tones. When it comes to leisure wiar, men are likely to out-do women in the gai ety of their ensebles. A trend toward more comfort is another keynote of the Spring style picture, dramatically illus trated by the ingenious Daks trouser. Tailored by Britain's fam ous S. Simpson Ltd., Daks com pletely do away with the need for a belt. The secret is in the snug elastic waistband which conceals five sponge rubber pads. Result: slacks stay up and shirt stays down, without benefit of belt or suspend ers, even when you take those mighty swings at the goli' ball Clever of these British. Use Want Ads for quick sales.
