Haywood county, died at his home
in Uichmond. Calif., Tuesday af
ternoon The body will be shipped
here for final rites and burial in
Green Hill cemetery. Jt is expected
to arrive Sunday.
Funeral services will be held at
the Garrett funeral home Monday
afternoon. The local Masonic lodge
Mill be in charge of the service.
Mr. Welch was a son of the late
Mr and Mrs. John Welch and a
grandson of Dr. and Mrs. Hobert
Vance Welch and is widely con
nected in Haywood county. He had
resided in California for the past
2D years, where he had maintained
a business in Richmond.
Surviving are two nieces. Mrs. J
W. Bolt of Greenville, S. C, and
Mrs. Fred Saunders of Waynes
ville: one nephew. Frank Groves,
Oleen: one great niece and four
great nephews.
