Grace Tallent Is Bride Of Wayne L. Plott Miss Grace Tallent, daughter of , Mr. and Mrs. Jess Tallent, of Franklin, became the bride of Wayne Linwood Plott, son of Mr. jj. H Plott and the late Mrs. Flora Kinsland Plott, of Canton, in a cer lemony at the Central Methodist I church here on Saturday afternoon May 1, at 4 o'clock. The Rev. C. W. Kirby, pastor, pronounced the ; VOWS. The altar of the church was dec orated with floor vases of white gladiolus, while snapdragons and white carnations against a back ground of ferns, mountain laurel and spruce. Three seven-branched candelabra were used among the 'greenery and flowers. Bows of white satin ribbon marked the ; pews for the family. ; Prior to the eerenlony a program ' of wedding music was given by Miss Mary Louise Cannon, Canton, I organist, and Dan Cooke, Candler, ' vocalist. Miss Cannon played "An ' dante Con Moto 6b',' "Londonderry i Air." Viennese Refrain." "To a ! Wild Rose," and during the taking : of the vows "Oh Perfect Love." The traditional wedding marches were used for the proeecMonal and recessional. Mr. Cooke sang "Ave Maria" and "Because." The bride, who was given in marriage by her brother, Claude Tallent, wore a while gabardine suit with navy and white accessor ies. She carried a white pra vet book to which was attached two white orchids lied with maline and ; showered with lilies of the valley. The bride had as her matron of honor. Mrs. D. B. Vance, of Can Ion, who wore light grey suit with powder blue accessories. She car- ried an arm bouquet ol white and pink snapdragons and blue lace flowers tied with pink and blue j ribbon. The bridegroom had as his best man E. W. Jones of Clyde. Ushers were Edgar Norman Plott of Can Ion and Fred H. Plott of Candler, brothers of the bridegroom. Mrs. Tallent, mother of the bride, wore a navy blue crepe dress with navy hlue and white acces sories and her corsage was of white gardenias. Immediately following the wed ding the couple left for a wedding trip to points in Florida. The bride is a graduate of the Franklin high school. Franklin, N. C. Since her graduation she has held a position with the Champion I Paper and Fibre company of Can ton. Mr. Plott received his education at Bethel high school. He is a vet eran of World War II, having served in the European theater for 28 months with the 30th Division. ; He is now connected with the American Enka corporation.
