It was ordered as follows; That pursuant to Chapter 725 of the Session Laws of North Caro lina for 1947, and other laws of North Carolina, the , Mayor and Board of Aldermen having directed and requested, by order duly adopted, that an election be called relative to Die corporate extension of the Town of Waynesville, as hereinafter set forth; and pursu ant to the request of said Mayor and Board of Aldermen of the Tuwn of Waynesville an election having been ordered to be held on the 3rd day of July 1948, and it ap pearing that due notice has not been published sufficient time be fore the registration, and in order that said election may be held in full requirement of law, it is or dered by the Board upon motion duly seconded and by unanimous vote of the members of the Board of Election of Haywood County, that said special election as or dered, he cancelled and not held on the 3rd day of July, 1948, hut it is ordered by the Hoard of Elec tions of Haywood County that the said election be held on the 4tli day of September, 1948, relative lo the extension of the corporate limits of the Town of Waynesville to include the territory hereinafter I described, which election shall be held pursuant to laws of North Carolina relating to special elec tions, and as provided the sta tutes hereinbefore referred to.
