With four wheels pulling, it travels "impassable" roads, goes over rough ground, up steep grades, through mud and sand. It has power for pulling trailed loads up to 2' tons on or off the road and when used as a tractor it will operate almost any standard farm imple ment including plows, harrows, discs, furrow its, mowers and seeders. The UNIVERSAL Milk Production Courses Set For 2 Nights This Week Two short courses for dairymen in the production of milk will be led by Wayne Corpening, county agent ,and Lyle Jones, county sani tarian, at the county courthouse on Thursday and Friday nights. All persons handling milk or milk utensils, and milkers or per sons connected with the produc tion of milk are urged to be pres ent. Mr. Jones will preside at the meetings. C. S. Thomas, district sanitarian from the state health department, will make a few In troductory remarks at the Thurs day night meeting. A sound pic ture will follow on the "Science cf Milk Production"; Farm agent Cor pening and Dr. A. R. Riegg will dis cuss the movie. Dr. Riegg will discuss the feeding of cows. A strip film will then be shown, "What Is Quality Milk?" H. O. Bealfliear, state sani tarian, will lead a discussion of the film. Mr. Bealmear, ' Mr. Corpening. and Dr. Riegg will answer any questions at the close of Thursday's program. The Friday night schedule will have R. L. Caviness, sanitary en gineer for the State Board of Health, making the intrductory remarks. A strip film, "What Is Bacteria," will be shown. Mr. Beal mear will discuss the film. Another movie. "Quality Milk Production," will also be shown. Maury Gaston will speak on "Us ing Proved Bulls '. A strip film will be run on "The Problem of Bac teria in Milk." The tow Negro men were involv-1 cd in a shooting scrape the first of July. Albert Love, of Newport, Tcnn., was wounded in the left arm from a shotgun blast allegedly fired by Ted Love, a well-known local janitor. Mrs. Moore Dies At Home In Canton Mrs. Victoria (Aunt Vickie Moore. 84. life long resident of Haywood county, died at her home in Canton Thursday night foiiow in2 a short illness. She was a charter member of the First Bap tist church. Surviving are three daughters, Mrs. John Clontz of Canton, Mrs. J. L. Morgan of Asheville and Mrs. W. T. HollinBsworth. also of Ashe ville: three sons. D. B. Moore of Tampa. Fla., Chester Moore of Coral Gables, Fla., and Lester Moore of Canton: two sisters, Mrs. Amanda Cook and Mrs. Florence Burnette of Canton: two brothers, T. Funeral services were conducted at 2 o'clock Saturday afternoon at the Morning Star Methodist church with the Rev. C. R. Ross, pastor, and Rev. H. L. Places that might harbor or breed flies are being sprayed and fre quent inspections are made to discover conditions that might endanger the health of our citizens. Contact is being maintained with experts to the end that no steps believed effective in combating flies and insects will be neglected. With the cooperation of every citizen, the menace of flies and insects can be con quered in this area. It is further suggested that the following measures be ioi-lowed: Clean garbage cans and spray with insecticide at least once a week. Keep garbage and waste cans covered. Clean up and spray all dangerous breeding spots empty tin cans, rotted brush, leaves, compost heaps, rub bish, outdoor toilets, etc. Swat and bomb flies daily start now make it a daily task of some member of your family to swat or bomb any fly having courage enough to enter your home. The spraying now being done by the towns is not harmful to garden, crops, animals or family. If any spot on your premises has been overlooked, and you cannot properly spray it, notify the police. See that every member of your family washes his hands before eating. Be very sure of the cleanliness of the food you serve. Wash all fruits and vegetables thoroughly.
