Society Miss Harriet Gibson was hostess for the December meeting of the Joseph Howell Society of the Chil dren of the American Revolution on Wednesday afternoon. The meeting was held at the home of Mrs. James H. Howell. Si . senic. president of the group Mrs. Howell presided and the meeting opened with the usual ritual. Flags were advanced by Carey Howell and Lynn Kilpatrick The program included group singing of Christmas carols and several Christmas readings. During the social hour following the meeting the hostess was as sisted by her mother. Mrs R H Gibson, and Mrs Howell. Allen The Allen's Creek Home Dem onstration Club held an nil-day meeting at the home of Mrs 1, 1, Allen on Wednesday. Mrs Julr Allen, president, presided during the business session and a demon stration on Christmas Suggestions was given by Miss Mary Margaret Smith, home agent. Project leaders gave reports as follows: foods. Mrs. Jule Allen: home management, Mrs Garland Mills; garden, Mrs. Connie Muse; crafts, Mrs. Moody Farmer: groom ing, Mrs. Newton Brendle; and home beautification, Mrs. Ernest Medford. Minstrel Show Saturday At Bethel School At 7 p. m., Saturday the Young Adult Class of the Bethel Method ist Church is presenting "The Lazy Moon Minstrel Show" at the Bethel high school auditorium. The ad mission is fifteen cents for children under 12, and 35 cents for adults. For an evening of entertainment come and see Mrs. Welch Singleton as Mammy, Fred Long as Pappy, Charles Osborne as Plutarco, the interlocutor. The remaining cast: James Edwards, M. C.
