Byrd hails from Marion, N. C.
and is a junior at W.C.T.C. He
is the smallest man in the Cat for
ward wall but makes mi for bis
size w'th a hard charging, aggres
sive game and has the reputation
of being the fifth man in the op
ponent's backfield. Byrd has defin
itely been the outstanding lines
man on the Catamount squad and
