Hazelwood placed two men on

the eight managers. "Pig" Trout
man landed the third base spot
and Oliver Yount was placed in
left field.
Although finishing fourth in the
league, the season was considered
a success and the team showed the
same fighting spirit that carried
them to the top the past two years.
When the umpires shout the fa
miliar, "Play Ball", to open the
1949 season, the Hazelwood team
will he on the field with that same
never die spirit that has prevailed
throughout the past years.
