Look for the RED BALL on the tole The marriage of Miss Hetty Frances Tuttle. daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Roy Clifton Tuttle to Robert Ray Riley, son of Mr. and Mrs. Clay Earle Riley of Greens boro, was solemnized Friday after noon at 5 o'clock, in the Boyd Memorial Chapel of the First Meth odist Church. The Rev. Charles N. Clark, superintendent of the VVaynesville district of the Methodist church, pronounced the vows, using the double ring ceremony. The chapel was decorated with woodwardia ferns and tall baskets of white gladiolus. At intervals seven-branched candelabra and palms completed the altar arrangements The windows were decorated with greenery and lighted by tapers. Miss Bette Hannah, organist, and Charles Isley, vocalist, present ed a program of wedding music. Before the ceremony Miss Hannah played. "O Promise Me." "To A Wild Rose." by McDowell. "Al ways." by Berlin, and "I "Love Thee." by Grieg. She also played "Clair de I-une." by Debussy while the vows were spoken. Mr. Isley sang "Because, by DeHardelot, "Through The Years," by Youmans and as a benediction sank "The Lord's Prayer". The bride, who was given in mar riage by her father, wore a gabar dine suit of forest green. Her hat and blouse were of pink with the hat fashioned of straw cloth trimmed in rose geraniums and a face veil. Her corsage was of pink orchids. Miss Jean Crouser of Wayne ville. college roommate, of the bride, was maid of honor. She wore a navy blue afternoon model fash ioned with square neckline and full circular skirt. Her hat was of roy al blue feathers anil her flower: were pink roses. Michel I ultie, young brother of the bride, was ring bearer. He wore suit ot light blue flannel and tarred the lines in a lily. The bridegroom had as his best man his tat tier, and ushers wen I -eon Killinn. Jr.. and Henrv Tut tie. Mrs. Tuttle. mother of the bride wore an afternoon dress of royal blue with sequins trim and her corsage was of white gardenias Mrs - Riley, mother of the groom wore a black model with corsage of white gardenias. Immediately following the cere mony at the church the parents of the bride entertained with an in formal reception at their home the guest list was confined to members of the two families and out-of-town guests. Assisting in re ceiving were Mrs. J. C. Crouser and Mrs. Fred N. Pegg of Kerners- ville. The bride's table was covered with a lace cloth and centered with the bride's cake, with graduated tapers at either end. Methodist Circles To Meet Today The circles of the Woman's Srf liety of Christian Service of the First Methodist church will meet today as follows: Circle No. 1 at the home of Mrs. Noble Garrett, Sr., at 3:30 p. m. The bride is a graduate of the VVaynesville Township High School and is a member of the current junior class at the Woman's Col lege al the University of North Carolina, where she is majoring in primary education. She plans to continue her work until gradua tion. The bridegroom is a graduate of the Greensboro High School and attended Oak Ridge Military Acad emy. He is a veteran of World War II, having served for three and one half years with the Intelligence Corps of the United States Army. He holds a position with the Caro lina Sales and Engineering Com pany. Incorporated, of Greensboro. After a short wedding trip the couple will be at home at 209 West Fisher Avenue. Greensboro. Party Is Given New Year's Eve Mr. and Mrs. Marion Bridges were hosts of a Watch Party at their home on Maple Street on New Year's Eve. Vases of pink and white snap dragon were used in decoration of the living room and in the dining room, where refreshments were served, lighted white candles and ivy were used. The table was covered with a white linen cloth and held a punch bowl and white candles in crystal holders. Mrs. Howard Bryson assisted in serving.
