Boyd reported on "One Foot In Heaven." and Mis. C. L. White reported on "The Kgg and I." Kefreshments were served by the hostess following the meeting. New O.E.S. Officers To Be Installed Installation of new officers will be held at the regular mA'ting of 'the Order of the Eastern Star Thursday night at 8 o'clock. Mrs. Grady Farmer, worthy ma tron, will preside and the instal lation service will be conducted bv the following grand officers: Mrs. Annie Howell, Mrs. Grace Queen, Mrs. Willie Francis, Mrs. I Louis Campbell, Mrs. Dollie Fer-J guson. Mrs. Kinsey will also attend as president. Hostesses for the afternoon were Mrs Grover C. Davis. Mrs. Frank Ferguson, and Mrs. Virgil Smith. Louis Rogers, student al State College. Raleigh, is visiting his par ents. Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Rogers in Clyde. Donald Rhea, son of Mr. and Mrs V M. Rhea of Hazelwood. who is a student at Georgia Military College, has been chosen as a member of a choir made up of students from Georgia State Col lege for Women and Georgia Mili tary College. Tlie choir is now on a concert lour of several states, including Virginia and New York and will appear in Washington. D C. Young Rhea will sing the leading parts in two numbers on the concert pro gram. On Wednesday. Arrangements of ioniiiils and iris were also used in the dining room. Around thirty friends called dur ing the afternoon and Mrs. Shool bred and Mrs. FroM received many messages of congratulation. Mrs. Shoolbred is the former Miss Molly Toneray and Mrs. Frost is the former Miss Rachel Toneray, twin daughters of Col. and Mrs. Charles Toneray. of Elizabetblon. Tennessee. Mrs, Shoolbred has re sided in Waynesville for the past lorly years, having come here with her husband, the late Mr. Shool bred She is a charter member of the Waynesville Woman's Club, a member of the Dorcas Hell Love Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution, and an active member of Grace Episcopal church. Old-Fashioned Spelling Match Slated At Clyde Clyde School Parent-Teachers Association will not hold its meet ing this Thursday as scheduled, but will observe Father's Night on March 24 at 7:30 p.m. The main attraction of the event in the school auditorium will be an old fashioned spelling bee with the Mas and Grandmas spelling against the Pas and Grandpas from the Blue Back Speller.
