Russell Young left the Whittier Methodist church as supply pastor three years ago. a new church was being erected. Mr. Young, now pastor of the First Methodist church of Waynes ville. will return to Whittier Sun day to preach the first official ser mon in the new $30,000 native stone chinch. The ceremonies will mark the official opening of the edifice. whose pastor is the Rev. O Thorne. An overflow congregation worshippers is expected to attend the official opening. The new church's auditorium can seat 250 persons, and it's educa tional building contains ten Sun day School rooms, a large youth chapel and a kitchen.
