A man ran to Jesus and kneeled before Him, saying, "Good Master, what shall I do to inherit eternal life?" When Jesus told him to sell his goods and give to the poor, he went away, sorrow ing, for he was rich. James and John asked Jesus if, when He was in glory, they might sit one on each side of Him. Jesus said that he who would be great among men must minister, even as He, the son of Man served. CENTRAL CLEANERS For Superior Cleaning and Pressing Phone 113 Church Sheet The Church Loyalty program is producing good results In Hazel wood's four churches. On the first two Sundays in tist, Presbyterian, Church of God, March, an average 360 persons at tended Sunday School at the Bap and Methodist churches. On the last two Sundays of the month, attendance reached 440, the Rev. M. L. Lewis, pastor of the Hazelwood Baptist Church, re ports. Last week, on the first Sunday in April, there were a total 472 pres ent in the four Sunday Schools. Mr. Lewis said these figures look even better in light of the fact that a bus every Sunday takes Hazel wood people to an out-of-town church. Though terming the increase in Sunday School attendance as en couraging, the Baptist pastor said the church attendance should be considerably better, since there are 2.000 potential church goers living in Hazelwood. "Our worship and other services in the churches are all increasing in both attendance and interest," he said. "The future is looking good. "We ministers feel that we will at least attain our goal of 600 average attendance in Sunday School." In his report on the campaign, he said 13 prayer meetings were scheduled this week in Hazelwood homes. These meetings, the pastor pointed out, were being conducted largely by lay church members.
