The series will open April 24 and 'continue through May 1. Revival Meet Opens Here J On May 24 A series of revival meetings con- 1 dueled by the First Baptist Church , of Waynesville will open April 24 , and continue through May I. The Rev. L. G. Elliott, pastor, said yesterday that Dr. Sankey I. Blanton, dean of the Wake Forest ' College ' School of Religion, will be the visiting minister. j Services will be held at fl p.m. every weekday and at 11 a.m. on Sundays during the series. Dr. Blanton was pastpr of the First Baptist Church of Wilming ton. N. C, when he was named to ; head the Wake Forest school two years ago. Special music by the two choirs ' under the direction of Charles Is- t ley. the church's minister of music and director of the Waynesville High School band, will feature each service. Mrs. Douglas Moore will be organist. In making the announcement. ; Mr. Elliott extended an invitation 1 to the public to attend the revivals. In reference to the visiting min ister. Dr. F. S. Love, superintend ent of the Lake Junaluska Metho dist Assembly, said: "I was closely associated with Sankey Lee Blanton during my j pastorate at Wilmington, and 1 1 consider him to be one ot me iruiy great preachers of the Paptists in the South.
