The Friday evening meeting will open at 7 p in., and the Sal unlay morning sessions start at 9 a. m Baptist Revival Series To Open Sunday Morning Mrs. Mrs. , and Dr. Clark To Officiate At Opening Of New Chapel Formal opening and the laying of the corner-stone will be observ ed at Fincher's 'Methodist Chapel Sunday afternoon at three o'clock with Dr. C. N. Clark, District Sup erinlend.inl, officiating. Tl was just about a year ago that the new building was begun. In the meantime, the old building which had stood for some fifty years was torn down but services were con tinued at all limes in the new one. This building is of native stone and brick. Memorial windows to the original families of the church add much lo the beauty of the structure. All the peaple of Hie community helped in some way on this com munity project. The new pulpit is a gilt from the late Jim Ilipps to honor the un tiring efforts of Mrs. Bessie Robin son in securing money for t h c building fund. We arc indebted In Mark Galloway for the new pulpit chairs. The building commit tee w as com posed of the Board of Stewards: V. .1. MeCrary. Fred Nnland, C. K. Hughes, Mrs. H. A. Mrs. Lloyd Soay is the young and able president of The Woman's Society of Christian Service. This organ ization has a membership of 25 and has done a grand job in raising money for the building fund. Miss Barbara Cockrell is president of The Methodist Youth Fellowship. The young people have been very active in raising funds for the church also.
