Duff last Monday night heard reports on the progress of their community development program. Dairy Committee Chairman Frank M. Davis gave a detailed dis elision during the meetingat the i Antioch Baptist church concerning the work that has been done on this project. Norman Acrington, chairman of '. the Community Improvement Com mittee, reported that the road siuns for the community had been completed. A new project was selected im mediately, with work to be started soon. Recreation Chairman O. L. I Vates invited members of his com mittee to meet at his home at 7:30 , o'clock Thursday night to discuss plans. In other business. Mrs. O. L. i Yates was elected chairman of the j Refreshment Committee. She will ! appoint the other members who will work with her. Another feature of the meeting also was the showing of movies by County Agent Wayne Corpening on last vear's out-of-state farm ! tour. Before adjourning the meeting, over which Community Chairman J R. Caldwell presided, it was decided that the next session would . be held the night of May 9 at the Methodist church. Elsewhere in connection witn tne Lower Crabtree Program, B. F. Nesbitt and Millard Ferguson have bought new tractors aud equip ment. More than 50 people helped him celebrate his birthday last Sun day at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Roxie Clark. There was a dinner that was both beautiful and bountiful. There was a secial sermon by the Rev. Albert Robinson of Hazelwood, and there was the Cruso Quartet all to make the celebration a suc cess. Mr. Robinson spoke on the text from St. John 5:19 "Behold the Man.'' The minister said: "We should see Jesus Christ, more as the Saviour than just the : man. Pilate looked at Him as a man and was not saved. I "We can look on Him as a Sav ' iour, and be saved." Among those present were Glenn Tate, Mr. and Mrs. Erastus Med ford of Iron Duff; L. Z. Messer of Waynesville, Tom Rathbone, Mr. and Mrs. D. L. Messer. and Charlie Fullbright, all of Panther Creek; and Mr Arrington's children, in cluding V.
