years, and Lloyd Bryson, Crabtree
Iron Duff School principal, resign
ed last week to enter other work.

Jack Messer. who said the resigna
tions were accepted "with regret".
Mr. Bryson served as principal
at Crabtree-Iron Duff for the last
three years.
These two resignations left three
offices of principal in the county
school system empty.
Last week. G. C Cooper, Lake
Junaluska School principal, died
in a hospital after suffering a
stroke while teaching a class.
Mr. Messer said the vacancies
would not be filled before the cur
rent school term closes.

During Past April
A total of 1.230 persons lost
! their driver's licenses in April as
!a result of traffic violations, the
Department of Motor Vehicles has
! announced.
j Of this number 933 were re
locations and 237 were suspen
' sions. The figure represented a
flrno of 1.81 from 1.011 who lost
their licenses during the same
month last year.
