Farmers and their families work ing in the Panther Creek Commun ity Development Program will visit individual farms and homes to see specific types of improvement made since the program started Cur rent plans are to hold these tours every three months. These farm visits will be liner throughout the morning, starling when the motorcade leaves from Weaver Parker's farm at 8:4(1 a m . until after the inspection of Noble Arrington's farm at 12:30 p. in . when the visitors will take lime out for lunch. In the afternoon, srlating ut 2 o'clock, discussions by community leaders will be made on (he various phases of community improvement and development. The afternoon program also will leature concerts, singing, a hall game and other recreational acti vities. Baucom, for mer pastor of the First Baptist church of Waynesville, as state di rector of the North Carolina Chris tian Rural Overseas Program Mr. Baucom. now a resident of Black Mountain, will start work within the next week with 17 districl iup ervisors to set up an organization for collecting farm commodities for overseas relief. He will have charge of the state program. The organization will work through all the state's 100 counties in the i am paign. An Associated Press dispatch from Frankfort quotes Mr. Roll man as saying the Nazis confis cated the lubber footwear plant in forced bankruptcy proceedings in 1935, when they drove him from fiennany. Under the restitution provisions covering property the Nazis seized illegally, the Waynesville man has been awarded $300,000 for other property he had in Germany. Mr. Rollman took his case to a German state court last Saturday after the present operators of the shoe factory opposed his efforts to recover. Another hearing was set for Monday. But the verdict of the court will not be known for several weeks.
