Your Walgreen Agency CURTIS DRUG STORE Davis-Dean Wedding Held -In Franklin Mr. and Mrs. Herman Dean of Franklin have announced the mar riage of their daughter, Miss Mary Maxine Dean, to Glenn Harding Davis, son of Mr. and Mrs. C. T. Davis of Waynesville, in a wedding ; ceremony solemnized Saturday afternoon in the Franklin Metho dist Church. The Rev. Charles V. Parker, pas tor of the church and pastor of the bride, was the officiating minister, using the double ring ceremony. The altar was decorated with ferns interspersed with tall bas kets of white gladioli. Mrs. Henry W. Cabe, organist, presented a program of wedding music, and the traditional wedding marches were used. The ushers were Paul Lee Plem nions and Clayton Ramsey, both of Franklin. The couple entered the church together. The bride was attired in a white street-length dress fash ioned in princess style with sweet heart neckline and short sleeves, She wore a white picture hat and long white gloves. Her only orna ment was a single strand of pearls and her shoulder corsage was of pink carnations. Mrs. Dean, mother of the bride, wore a black lace and crepe cos tume, with black accessories. Her flowers were white rosebuds. Mrs. Davis, mother of the bride groom, wore a black crepe dress and black accessories. Her corsage was also white rosebuds. Mrs. Davis is a graduate of the Franklin High School and attended Brevard College, Brevard. She is also a graduate of Blanton's Busi ness College, Asheville, and is now employed by the Southern Paper Products Company, Asheville. I Mr. Davis is a graduate of the Crabtree-Iron Duff High School, and during World War II he spent 18 months in the Marine Corps, much of rtiis time in China. He is now attending Blanton's Business College, Asheville, Immediately following the cere mony, Mr. and Mrs. Davis left on a wedding trip. Upon their return they will reside in Asheville. V.F.W. Auxiliary Meets Tonight The regular meeting of the Aux iliary of Veterans of Foreign Wars will be held at the homeof Mrs. Roy Campbell tonight at 7:30 o'cloek. Mrs. Roy Moseman will preside. , Mrs. Fisher Visits Oteen Mrs. Ethel Hayes Fisher, repre senting the Auxiliary of Veterans of Foreign Wars, visited Oteen Vet erans Hospital Wednesday and pre sented cigarettes to the patients. Visits to the hospital are made monthly by members of the Aux iliary. Dr. and Mrs. N. F. Lancaster returned to their home Friday aft er receiving treatment at Mission Hospital in Asheville for injuries received in an automobile accident. 5!
