Wool Pool To Be
Held In Haywood
County This Year
('(Unity Ayenl Wayne I'nrpenum
in a recent letter advised all Hay
wood County .iee raisers ar
rangements have been made to
have a wool pool this year tor the
county.
He announced the producers can
bring their wool to the Haywood
County Farmers Cooperative any
time until Wednesday,
To get the most from their pro
duct, he advised Hie raisers to fol
low these recommendations m lire
paring it for the market:
1. Have shearing equipment in
good order well ahead of shearing
time For repairs send equipment
to factory. Also send old combs and
cutlers to factory for sharpening.
For new equipment, see your local
of lire extinguishers, but the "dry
chemical'' extinguisher is a war
time development. The use of
sodium bicarbonate to put nut fires
is very old The problem was to
get the dry powder into the base
of the flame quickly and over a
u-irie area It was solved by blast
ing it out of a container with con
densed gas.
