Food Sale
A Food Sale will be held in
front of Garrett's Furniture Store
Saturday morning at 9 o'clock un
der the auspices of the local chap
ter of the Order of the Eastern
Star.
A variety of foods, including
salads, cakes, and pies, will he sold.
Miss Frances Williams, daughter

the home of Mrs. Jimmy Williams
on Tuesday night. Mrs. Elen Phil
lips presided.
Miss Mary Cornwell, county
home demonstration agent, gave a
demonstration on flower arrange
ments afler which each club mem
ber arranged a vase of ftowers.. The
flowt is were judged )y the group
and Mrs. Earl Me.ss.tr's arrangement
was t;iven first place.
A social hour followed the meet
ing. Patrick will sing a solo. Mrs. An
derson then will address the group.
Reports of clubs will be heard, and
Mrs. Kirkpatrick will sing another
solo. Mrs. Greene then will make
her address.
Luncjieon will be served at
12:30. Mrs. Dillard will speak on
the Birthday Remembrance Pro
gram, reports of committees will be
heard, and the program will close
