This year, short coals are news.
Short means anything from the
30-inch all-season topper to the
dressier 40-inch coat. The full
length coat that measures 12 to lTi
inches from the floor is definitely
second in importance to the shortei
fur coat
The fur silhouette is predomin-
ail t'f antly fitted. There are many pnnr-
t'E-i shapes as well as belled coai-i
ilial can be converted into loose
or lilted styles, and a few straight
line coats with fullness from a
Hal inverted pleat at the center

Small Collars
Kur coat collars are styled toi
comfort. For the most part. the
are small and always soft. Theie

Shoulders are smooth, carefully
controlled and have a minimum of
padding. The melon or wedge line
is the compromise between (he set

Scarfs
Cuffs are huge. wide, dramatic

Scarfs are also fashionable on '
ithis season's fur coats. There are

Crisp linings are used for the
first time this season and lend a
seductive rustle to the flat furs
Taffeta, with tiny faconne' pnllerns
or iridescent colorings are used not
only inside but as ascots, poekel
and cuff linings as well as under
lapels.
Sensative About Bald Spot
