Meeting The Richland Garden Club held its September meeting on Wednes day at the home of Mrs. John Smathers, Jr., with Mrs. John Sr., and Mrs. Howard Clapp as associate hostesses. Mrs. James Elwood, president, presided and the group discussed future projects. A report was made of the recent Flower Show sponsored by the club and the sweepstakes awards of S5.00 each were presented to Mrs. J. R. Boyd, who won in the speci men class, and to Mrs. J. W. Ray, who won in the flower arrange ment class. Luncheon was served by the hostesses.
