Concert To Be
Held December 20
The Wuynesville Township High
School band and mixed chorus will
give the school's annual Christmas
Concert the night of December 20
at the high school auditorium.
The concert is scheduled to
start at 8 p.m.
Charles lsley, director of the
band and chorus, made the an
nouncement this morning.
He said the "usual admission
price will be charged." and that
the students of the music depart
ment will start selling tickets to
morrow. The 90-minute concert will com
prise the familiar Christmas numbers.

Hold Box Supper
At Bethel Dec. 15
The residents of East Pigeon v. ill
hold a box supper at 7:30 p.m.
today at Bethel School to raise
money for financing their com
munity improvement projects.
The announcement was made to
day by Van Wells, chairman of the
Fast Pigeon Community Develop
ment Program which is sponsoring
the event.

cipal will auction the boxes of
food being prepared by the ladies
ot tlie community.
For one thingi the funds would
be used to help pay for uniforms
for the community's basketball
teams which are competing in the
county-wide winter recreation program.
St. John's Pupils
To Present
Operetta Monday
The grade students and the kin
dergarten rhythm band of St.
Johns School will present the oper
etta, Heigh-llo-Holly" as the fea
ture of the annual Christmas pro
gram at 8 iin. Monday in the
school auditorium.
The entire student body of the
elementary school comprises the
cast of this charming musical that
tells the story of a typical Ameri
can family.
When the final curtain goes
down, the spectators probcbly will
leave the theater h u m m i n g
snatches of the many catchy melo
dies which will make up the musi
cal background for the show along
with the traditional Christmas
carols.
The evening program will be
rounded out by a beautiful tableau
depicting the Nativity.
St. John's students are in charge
of the ticket sales.

Hold Christmas
Play Tonight
Canton High School students will
present "The Alien Star," a Christ
mas musical, at 7:30 p.m. today in
the school auditorium.
The pageant is being sponsored
by the Canton High School P-TA
with Miss Mary Gillis directing.
The high school Glee Club, di
rected by Mrs. Robert Matthews,
will provide the vocal background.
One of the features of the pro
gram will bo a "live" Christmas
tree.
The cast and stage force for the
play, written by Krances Smith,
includes: Francis Plcss, Larry
Scruggs, Arthur Moon. Connie
Holland. Nicky Carter. Billy Bran
