Original drawings for 'Pawnee' and "Mountain Boy" will be on display in the Library on the day of the Powwow and autographed copies of the book will be avail able at The Book Store. The Powwow, to w hich the public as well as all reacting club mem bers, is invited, will be held on the lawn at the residence of Mrs. T. Lt-ntor Gwyn at II a. m. In case of rain the program will be held in the dining room of the First Meth odist Church. Joint Hostesses Entertain For Bride-Elect Mrs. Alton Bottoms and Mrs. Roy Moore of Canton were joint hostesses of a bridge luncheon giv en Thursday afternoon at Mount Valley Inn on the Soco Gap Road, in compliment to Miss Bebe Med ford. bride-elect of Albert Cline. Jr. of Canton. Guests were seated at one long table which was centered with a bowl of summer flowers in pistel shades. The bridal motif was noted in the appointments. Jr., of Can ton, will take place next month, was honored at a bridge luncheon given Friday with Mrs. George M. Tros- tle and her daughter. Mrs, John T. Pigeon CDP To Plan Field Day Program A meeting of the West Pigeon Community Development Program will be held Thursday at the Bethel High School with Ed Justice, chair man, in charge. Plans will be made for entertain ing the Fines Creek Community and for an all-day field day to he held July 29 at the high school. Mrs. Raymond C. Lane directed the callers to the library where Mrs. Ernest Carter received. Mrs. Costen Harrell and Mrs. F. S. Love presided at a beautifully appointed tea table in the dining room and assisting in serving were Mrs.. Bill Strochecker. Miss Anne Roberts. Miss Doris Ann Ensley, Miss Mary Ann Wilson, Miss Mary Moore, Miss Peggy Gibson, and Miss Joyce Carter. Mrs. A. L. Ensley received in the sun room where the guests enjoyed the view of the Lake and surround ing mountains. Food Sales To Be Held On Fri. And Sat. Food sales will be held Friday and Saturday mornings in the REA office on Main street. Friday's event will be sponsored by Circle No. 2 of the First Meth odist church -and will begin at 9 o'clock. Saturday's sale will be held by Circle No. 1 of the Methodist church and will open at 9:30. O.E.S. Will Meet Thursday The Waynesville Chapter. Order of the Eastern Star, will hold its regular meeting Thursday evening at 8 o'clock in the chapter rooms in the First National Bank Building-Mrs. Mildred Fisher, district de puty grand matron, and Clarence Knighten, district deputy irrand patron, will make their official visit at this time, Mrs. Joe Liner, worthy matron, is requesting all officers to he in the chapter room at 7 o'clock pre ceding the meeting. Iron Duff CDP Set For Thursday Iron Duff Community Chairman Jarvis Caldwell today urged per fect attendance at the Community Development Program meeting scheduled for Thursday night.
