Short, head of the Jacksonville Area of The Method ist Church, was the featured speak er Tuesday night of a south-wide Conference on Christian Education in session at Lake Junaluska As sembly, August 13-19. His subject was. ' The Holy Spirit in Christian Education." This conference has broueht to the Assembly grounds high connec tionals in The Methodist Church to make platform addresses, includ ing Bishops Paul B. Kern, W. W. Peele. Marvin A. Franklin, and Drs. Hanry M. Bullock and John U. Shackford of Jackson, Mississippi and Newport News, Va. On Sunday, a conference on Evangelism will pet under way with Bishops Clare Purcell and Taul B. Kern, of Birmingham, Alabama, and Nashville, Tennessee, respect ively, preaching from the Juna luska pulpit at 11a. m. and 8 p. m.
