Ellis To Hold Blood Bank Here Dec. 6 In a busy meeting Tuesday night, the Waynesville Elks Lodge voted to sponsor the Blood Bank on December 6, elected three hew officers, and initiated two new members. With Treasurer Joe Casabclla presiding for Exalted Ruler Alvin Ward ion vacation), the members selected the date they would spon sor the visit of the Bloodmobile in the Waynesville area. The date chosen falls on a Wednesday. Noble Garrett, Jr., of Waynes- Iville and Carl Bischoff of Haiel- Lodge as its newest members. The elections, held to fill vacan cies created by resignations, sent Bob Korte into the post of esteem ed Leading Knight (second in rank to Exalted Ruler, of head, of the Lodge); Hallet Ward into the job of Lecturing Knight, and Kim Bar bet named as Loyal Knight. Mr. Korte had been serving as loyal knight, Mr. Barber as chap lain. He succeeded Tony Davis, who resigned because of the pressure of increased business. Jilr. Ward was named to succeed Dr. Hugh Daniel, who had turned in his resignation for the same rea- Haywood Youths Join Navy Henry Blount Osborne, Jr., and Earl Warren, both of Clyde, and Mark Hollingsworth of Waynes ville, left Saturday to start Navy service at San Diego, Calif., 'Close Harmony?' son. Mr, and Mrs. Plott and their children, formerly of Waynesville, are now living in Marietta, Ga. her husband recently was called into Army service. Formerly on the staff of the Fed- eral Bureau of Investigation, Mr. Greenleaf is now stationed at an Army post in Kentucky. Mr. and Mrs. James Carpenter visited Mr. Carpenter's parents in Rutherfordton last week end.
